I felt the weird desire to blog this even though i don't normally blog stuff like this.

Yesterday was Soccer Sunday and I was the one that ended up with the extra food from tailgating to bring home. I don't have a problem with that, since I have room to store the stuff for next week. One of the leftover items were 8 hamburger rolls and 8 hot dog rolls. They are cheap and small rolls that do the job for tailgating, but they aren't anything really worth saving. I debated freezing them or maybe using them for breakfast, etc., for the next few days, but decided I'd probably just throw them out. I'm more a fan of bagels.

One recently thing I've done is start to eat whole wheat bagels, rather than plain bagels, because they taste good and are probably a little bit better for me. I went to my local bagel shop today to pick up some more bagels. I try to buy a half a dozen at a time. Recently tho, they haven't had any whole wheat bagels, so I've had to opt for a plain bagel or two. Today they have 7 whole wheat bagels, so I picked up 6 and left the last one for a lucky fellow whole wheat bagel eater.

When I went to pay for my purchase the lady, that's almost always there (and never seems very happy about that fact either), asked me if i wanted to get another 6 for free. She showed me a coupon and said I should go get 6 more. The inner jew in me must have been sleeping for a moment, because I stupidly hesitated because I knew there was only one more whole wheat bagel left. The inner jew awoke tho and I went to town. I took the last whole wheat bagel (fuck my fellow whole wheat bagel eaters! they never save any for me! pfft!) and picked up a random assortment of plain and poppy bagels. It was certainly a nice gesture from the lady and on the way out I figured out one theory: she's probably tired of me coming in after I go to the gym all sweaty buying bagels. I bet she figured if she gave me the coupon to use at that moment she wouldn't have to see me for a while. That's totally the case. Or maybe she was just being nice? nah. no one is nice anymore. nice is so few month period after 9/11. it's over now. nice doesn't get people anywhere!

So I'm totally going to cut up the extra free bagels (which will no doubt taste really good like all free stuff) and freeze them. As for the rolls? They are totally trash unless I decided to use them to build a homeland security fort in my apartment. hmmm...
