Voting turnout is shaping up to be huge. I voted this morning at around 9:20am. The second I woke up, I threw on some pants (yes, for those of you keeping track at home, I did decide to wear pants) and went next door. I waited around 15 minutes and I was voter 262 in my voting district. I spoke to some other people in my town who waited between an hour to an hour and a 1/2. Pretty crazy. I think it's going to be a record turnout, which can't be good for Bush. I hope the election is called before I go to bed tonight, but who knows?

It's honestly a coincidence I just realized, but in my playlist today is The Presidents of the United States of America. My friend brought them up in a random conversion yesterday and when I was searching for music to listen to this afternoon, I picked them. I just realized now that it's actually a pretty good choice for election day.

My phrase for today is: cautiously optimistic.
