Yesterday I had my [fairly] annual super bowl party.

Just about every single year I spend a while getting ready for the party by cleaning my apartment. This year was probably the most insane cleaning tho. I started on Thursday afternoon and pretty much spent the entire time until Sunday at 4pm cleaning (yes, I did take sleeping, eating and shopping for party supplies (food & beer) apartment upgrades (lots and lots of good stuff to help make my apartment a better place nstuff) breaks, but still, it was crazy. I even canceled my Saturday night plans at the last moment and stayed up until 1:30am cleaning). My goal for this year's cleaning was to not just throw stuff in a corner, but to actually throw out stuff I didn't need and organize stuff. I'm very happy with the results. I didn't skip out on any corner of my place; I was spraying my desk with a cleaner and wiping it down as the first guests arrived at 4pm. I just hope I can keep it this nice. We'll see. I always joke to my friends that I should throw parties more often cause it's good motivation to get my place clean.

This year's guest list was an excellent mix of friends. We had a great time and way too much food and alcohol. As usual, I have too much food left over. The game was decent, but nothing special. It had it's moments tho.

The game really tested my Jewness [sic]. I was rooting for the Eagles, but if the Patriots won I was going to win $100 in an office playoff pool [for one of the companies I recently started working with]. In the last few minutes, I discovered that if the score stayed the same (24-21) or the Eagles were able to score a touchdown (24-28), I would win [an additional] $100 in another office pool. Any other change in the score would have taken me out of the running for that other pool. I had to decide at the point what I was rooting for. I didn't have to spend too much time deciding tho because McNabb threw an interception and ended the game with a score of the 24-21. I won $200, which certainly helped pay for all the shopping..

good stuff.
